Recommended Resources

 Devotionals:

  • Trusting God In All the Things by Karen Ehman and Ruth Schwenk (Has two fill out forms: “Points to Ponder” and “Pausing to Pray” which I would highly encourage you to make the effort to fill out)

  • I Am Who You Say I Am by Ashley Nute Weston (Sweet reminders of who we are in Christ paired with beautiful paintings by Cherrie Nute Farley. Note: the author does not sell the book online, so it would have to be purchased used)

  • Letters to the Bride by Katie Zachariou (Beautiful letters written from the perspective of Jesus to His bride: you. With space to journal a response. I try to write a letter back to Jesus)

  • You’re Going to Make it by Lysa TerKeurst (A morning and evening devotional to bookend you day with God)

Misc. Books:

  • Praying in Color by Sybil Macbeth (It is not a coloring book as I thought. It is a how-to draw with God, with permission to doodle with God)

  • Dating with Discernment by Sam A. Andreades (This book helped me realize all the reasons my ex was wrong for me, that some of my standards weren’t too high, and helped me heal knowing my ultimate future is Jesus)

  • Redeemed Like David by Mark Ballenger (A study of Psalm 51 that deals with sexual sins, but I found it to be one of the best explanations of what sin is - and women struggle with sexual sins too)

  • Delighting in the Trinity by Michael Reeves (While this book can have some heavier theological points, this book made me fall in love with God)

  • Heaven by Randy Alcorn (A thick book I have yet to finish, but from the start I began to feel understood about my fears of heaven and found relief with more understanding)
